In 2014, Nathalie and Chris fell under the spell of a three-hundred-year-old residence nestled in the heart of Ticino. Located in the historic centre of Cavigliano, a peaceful village at the gateway to Locarno, this house carries within it the soul and memory of centuries past. The two bedrooms are set in an authentic Ticinese house, arranged around a traditional courtyard in the heart of the village of Cavigliano. This charming and serene setting is an ideal base from which to explore the region. The towns of Locarno and Ascona are just about fifteen minutes away by train or car. When the fine weather arrives, the inner courtyard becomes a true haven of peace: tables and chairs are set out to enjoy meals outdoors or simply to relax in the quiet of the surroundings.
The story of the place
During the renovation, they chose to reveal the authenticity of the place rather than transform it. Beneath the layers of paint and the dust accumulated over time, they rediscovered and restored delicate lime-based wall decorations, witnesses to the craftsmanship of times gone by. Keen to preserve the spirit of the house, they also favoured the use of traditional materials and brought back to life many objects found on site. Today, this lovingly restored residence combines historic charm with a gentle way of life. Nathalie and Chris look forward to welcoming you and sharing the singular history of this place.

The private balcony, accessible from both rooms and overlooking the courtyard and the rooftops of Cavigliano, offers several seating options as well as a small bistro table for an aperitif or a light meal.
